Once, a few months ago, while searching the net I happen to come across an interesting site about 101 things to do in 1001 days project.
Now, at the beginning of 2009, I finally decided to take this challenge myself. I wrote the list of things I want to do, to see, to experience, to learn and to try in the next 1001 days. I created this blog for the purpose of following the progress of this challenge (or a mission, or whatever you call it). As the time goes on I'll put some photos of what I have already achieved and will share with you, my unknown guest, what my progress is.
I'm very excited about this idea as I created a list of things that I wanted to do for a long time, of things I know I should do or of something that will help other people. In any case, I know that making this 101 things happen will make the next 2.7 years very interesting, fulfilling and unforgetable.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. Yana

Yana's 101 things in 1001 days project
Start date: 5 Jenuary 2009 End date: 3 October 2011
My goal is to complete the following 101 tasks in 1001 days.
Not yet completed Working on it Done!
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
Some common goal setting tips:
1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.
2. Stay Focussed. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.
5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.
